Families in Oregon are paying more and getting less. Shaunie’s campaign is focused on practical leadership, real accountability, and solutions that respect the people living with the consequences of government decisions every day. ACCOUNTABILITY & TRANSPARENCY Government should be able to show where money goes, what works, what does not, and why taxpayers should trust it. The answer to every problem is not more laws, more taxes, and more bureaucracy. Oregon needs measurable outcomes, honest oversight, and leaders willing to stop funding failure. AFFORDABILITY & TAXES Oregonians are overburdened. Families are stretched thin, and government cannot keep treating taxpayers like an endless source of revenue. Before lawmakers ask families to pay more, they should prove they are using existing resources responsibly and effectively. PUBLIC SAFETY, HOMELESSNESS & ADDICTION Oregon created chaos by changing the law without building the treatment, recovery, and behavioral health systems needed to support real stability. We need stronger substance use disorder and behavioral health infrastructure, transparency around how funds are spent, and policies that restore public order while helping people move toward recovery. EDUCATION & PARENTS' RIGHTS Schools should be safe, academically serious, transparent, and focused on students rather than political theater. Parents deserve respect, communication, and systems that are easier to navigate. Oregon’s outcomes need improvement, and families should not have to fight this hard to get their children’s needs met. HEALTHCARE Healthcare is too expensive, too complex, and too difficult to access for too many working and middle-class families. State leaders should focus on reducing complexity, improving access, and making sure middle-class families and seniors are not priced out of essential care. HOUSING AFFORDABILITY Housing has become unaffordable because of overlapping pressures including cost, taxes and fees, supply constraints, regulatory barriers, and a broader affordability crisis. Oregon should focus on making it easier to build and reducing the barriers that push stable housing further out of reach. CRIMINAL JUSTICE Shaunie supports law enforcement, meaningful prosecution, and criminal justice reform where it improves fairness and outcomes without sacrificing community safety. Reform should not mean weakening the systems meant to protect the public. IMMIGRATION Shaunie supports secure borders, lawful processes, meaningful enforcement, and a legal immigration system that is more workable, credible, and accessible. ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT Responsible environmental stewardship matters, but policy must be realistic. Families should not be forced into costly transitions they cannot afford. Oregon should pursue cleaner energy in a way that is practical, gradual, and mindful of affordability. ELECTION INTEGRITY Every eligible voter should be able to vote, every legal vote should count, and the public should trust the process. Shaunie supports stronger safeguards, including voter ID and more secure election systems. SECOND AMENDMENT Shaunie strongly supports the rights of law-abiding citizens to own firearms and believes the focus should be on violent offenders rather than punishing responsible gun owners. Abortion Shaunie approaches abortion as a morally serious issue. She supports exceptions in tragic circumstances and believes viability is a meaningful legal line. Her position is rooted in compassion, moral seriousness, and honest limits.
